Default Sirius Install Problem

I had an after market Sirius radio installed to the factory radio, everything works but I can not see what channel or save the channel to my preset. Has any one had this problem.

Does your factory radio have a sirius button on it? If not you're probably out of luck.

Yes, my factory radio has the Sirius button. I tried the RDBS process but it still does not display channel or song names.

Didn't your aftermarket Sirius tuner come with its own display?

If you want to have the song name and artist shown on your Sync display you will have to get the factory set up. Some earlier trucks had a separate Sirius module. My truck (2012) has the Sirius built into the factory head unit, I just took mine out and upgraded to OEM navigation (again with Sirius built in).

You can probably find a used head unit and you'll get the functions you want. Just make sure you get one with the Sirius option installed (easy to tell because there is a second antenna connection on the back).

Fix, the installer didn't secure the line in that provides text data to the radio. Problem solved and pleased with the after market addition.
