Default Sideview mirror got knocked off...how to replace?

Havent seen it in person yet but the wife sent me a few pics. Looks like just the glass and the backing plate got knocked out. Anyone got a good source for new glass and a DIY thread on replacing this?

Looks like the connector for the power actuator is still intact, so that's promising

Already calling around You think the whole housing needs to be replaced? Really not looking forward to getting another one painted.

I had a similar thing happen to me . Luckily the auto dim glass didn't break and my motor still works, but the reflector was destroyed and a piece of the mirror housing completely broke off. The painted cap that is on the mirror is removable so you wont have to worry about having another painted. These mirrors are EXPENSIVE!!! I have been in the member marketplace looking for someone selling theirs but I always miss them

Did that a long time on my '00 F250. At least in that case, I was unable to buy just the mirror glass and backing. Had to buy the whole mirror assembly, so I decided to upgrade to the tow mirrors.

Hope things have changed and you'll be able to find just the part that's busted.
