It is caused from U joint angles. Some of the new trucks have it from the factory for some reason. Shims between the leaf spring and axle will correct it.

They need to install shims to correct the issue the right way.

It sounds like it's time for a dealership visit, bigwhitey23. What's the mileage on your truck?

I'd like to look into this to see how I can help, Goot. PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership; I'll check out some options.

Goot - Dealer keeps greasing the ujoints on my truck.
Given that the U-joints have no grease fittings (unless they've been replaced with aftermarket), how do they do that?

Or are you referring to the slip yoke?
.

Yes my bad. They grease the slip yoke. And that's great until it rains LOL

Watch this video.

This video finally helped me track down my annoying acceleration shudder.

Edit: I have had the shims installed, this did help. It helped the rear of the transmission not shake so violently. But it didn't fix it. I have something in the works to fix this. I will start a new thread when I have it in my hands......
