I think you missed it by a month or so, I talked to him in Dec. for a friend, and there was a $100. rebate going then
I thought about getting those, but I like my regular ol' running boards, since I was sitting in my truck one day and some dumb chic slammed her door into my truck. I jumped out, thinking she just slammed her door into my door, but her door had a dent in it from hitting my running board. No damage to my truck. That's reason enough to keep what I have!
True the factory ones help with rock chips and door dings. But are in the worst place to be used as a step. As least my black oval ones are, the 6" wide chrome ones are a lot better then the appearance package ones.

You do, however, lose some ground clearance with the compression struts associated with taller lift kits. My compression struts took a hit recently, and my running boards never came close.

That's false. The running boards don't even hang down as far as the transfer case, and they're flush with the frame. You lose zero ground clearance with these. Attachment 467018

Yeah all fixed- had to replace the transmission crossmember, and the new compression struts are supposed to be here today. I've debated whether I even want to reinstall the new ones, because the ground clearance issue. I've read that they aren't even very functional- mostly for looks. It also jarred loose some kind of restraint control module that caused the engine to shut off. Had to be towed in.. Thank goodness for insurance!
