Default goodbye to all, thanks for all of the advice

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for providing so much entertainment the past few years and all of the advice I had been given on my old truck. Wife and I bought a house and the commute to work was killing me in gas, not to mention the cost of having such an expensive truck. Last Thursday I ended up trading my f150 on a 17 Colorado v6. I miss my Ford for sure, but I couldn't wait on them to release the ranger.

again, thx for all the help transforming my old f150 into something unique.

What is the expected fuel economy on the Colorado? I am in the same boat as you except I have a commuter car (Corolla) that I use for work. Would be nice to go down to 1 vehicle. Is it a 4 Cyl or 6?

My co-worker bought a 16 Colorado. He has a 45 minute commute each way.
Been doing that for 20 years in f150's.
Went for the Chevy and loves it. Had it for about 6 months now.
Chevy did nail it by making them a little bigger...

I have a friend that drives one up from Kentucky multiple times a year. They love it.

it is the v6 with 8 spd transmission and cylinder deactivation. my commute everyday is roughly 65 miles each way. dash is showing 25.3 so... assuming that is optimistic we could call it 24 which is much better than the 16.5 I was getting. The truck is just as quiet and quick (ecoboost had 3.15 gears 20's and a/t tires).

I just can't get over the round wheels in square pockets, but I do enjoy the look of the front and the gas mileage is appealing.

My brother in law just picked one up. Really impressed with it. Chevy did a great job on it. I'm eyeing the new Colorado ZR2 due out in a few months. As it's a mini raptor with a diesel option.

Congrats on the new truck.

Its hard to turn down the better MPG if you don't NEED a full size truck on a regular basis. Outside of towing our trailer to go camping, a Ranger/Tacoma/Colorado would handle 99% of what I use my truck for now.

Hope you enjoy it as much as you obviously enjoyed the last one.
