Default Shocks on a budget

I have a 2010 157" platinum supercrew with Max tow package. I have three leaf springs plus the overload in the rear and the factory shocks. Truck has 46k miles on it and on rough roads or when hitting bumps the whole truck vibrates rather than absorbing the shocks? If that makes any sense. On my last f150 I installed monroe load leveling shocks (with built in coil over springs) because my trailer would sag the truck when Hitched up. They made the truck stay level because of the extra spring wrapped around the shock.

My current truck does not sag at all when the trailer is Hitched up so I'm hesitant to add the same coil over shocks and risk the ride being too harsh. I just want this truck to ride like my last one (same bed configuration). My stock shocks are not leaking so I'm not sure if they're bad or I'd the vibrations are just due to having an extra spring in the leaf packs? Anyone else with a platinum max tow experience this or dies yours ride like a caddy?

I don't have the max tow package like you but definitely can relate to what you are saying. I would have your mechanic or dealer look into the shocks. Most seem to go bad at that mileage from what people say on the forum. They may just need replaced. I would definitely assume without any added extra weight that a max tow package will ride a little stiffer.

Yah, it doesn't bounce around as far as large up and down movement, more like its vibrating because it's too stiff, like a tuning fork or something. My shocks are dampening large movement but not the finer movement? I can bounce in the tailgate and when I stop, the truck stops too so I don't think they are totally shot. On my last truck there was less give when I would step up on the tailgate. I don't want to put bilsteins on, I'm not leveling the truck or lifting it, I just want a more compliant ride. Anyone has luck with regular monroe shocks or kybs on these trucks? Would that be better or worse than new oem shocks?

Why not Bilstein 5100s?

The rear shocks just keep it from bouncing.
Sounds like your describing a tire issue.
