Default seat question

Are the 2009-2011 seats interchangeable in the scab and screw whether cloth or leather? Anybody done this? Want to try leather seats in my 2010. Thanks.

Unless you have complete seats you have access to, it would be easier to buy covers in order to convert to leather. There are some really nice aftermarket covers out there.
Do a search here for leather and I am sure you will be able to bring some up from those who have done this conversion.

Found some like new front buckets and the rear seats in the color I looking for at a reasonable price. Want to hang on to my cloths for the time being. BTW the seats are 2008 models? Will that matter?

Check out Katzkin. I got a quote for $1200 for my Supercrew.

The leather seats I found are $750.00 and look almost new. My question is will these seats from a 2008 fit my 2010? Looking for an answer from someone that has done this or knows someone that has. I had a 2006 Lariat and I really liked those leather seats. My 2010 cloth are NOT as comfortable as the 2006 leather. Thanks.

One thing to think about is the scabs, at least in the 04-08s have the seat belt on the seat and the screws have it mount on the door pillar. I would assume it is the same for the newer trucks as well. So if the seats are out of scab and going into a screw, or vise versa, they probably wont work.

From what I can remember from my 04 SCrew, the front seats are very similar to my 09 SCrew, but the rear seats are completely different.

I don't think Ford would have redesigned the front seats significantly enough to even change their bolt mounting pattern to keep costs down. The headrests are definitely different in shape but interchangeable.

Can't say the same about the electronics, however, for the power seats. Again, don't think they would have modified the wiring and plugs, but you never know and if they had to it wouldn't have been a big deal. I just don't remember if the 04 had electric adjustable lumbar support or whether it was a manual ****...

But I wouldn't tempt fate and buy seats from a different model. I don't see a need to keep your old cloth seats, IMO. In fact, I think adding leather would enhance the resale value of your vehicle. You could even get Ford leather skins from your dealer or Tasca; install them yourself (if your handy enough) or bring them to a local upholstery shop.

I found an old picture of the front driver's seat in my 04 as well a photo online of an 09. The 04 definitely had manual lumbar support.

Can't tell if the seatbelt is mounted into the seat on the 04 like it is in the 09 (see lower right corner).

Infer what you can from them...

Excellent. The seats I found have seat belts like my 2010. If the rears are different then I may order skins for them. Thanks for all the info AND
Opinions. Appreciate your help. Thanks

The shape of those two front seats in the pics are totally different.
