You would think that if they can hold multiple tunes they can store more than 1 stock file.

 

if not, add another megabyte of memory, lol! its dumb, there is no reason it cant be made to work for more than one, other than pure and simple greed.

 

Let's assume SCT has a team of four engineers. Let's assume they make $50/hr each. Let's assume it took them around four months (20 weeks) to reverse engineer everything that Ford did to be able to provide you with a means to tweak your truck. Just the salaries alone will cost SCT $160,000. Add in benefits, admin, management, other overhead, rent for the building, equipment, and so on. And you want them to sell one programmer to Joe Blow for $600 and let everyone share it for free?

 

You still gotta pay for the tunes, so yes, I do. At the very least I expect some computer programmer out there somewhere to hack one just for fun and share the info with us so we can do it too.

Also if they are getting 50/hour they are over paid, and if it takes them 4 months to figure it out they suck at their job and they are WAY overpaid, lol!
