Default Scratch in dash HELP PLEASE!

Guys my wife scratched my dash right over the glove box in my 2010 f150 it is about 1'' long and it is in the dark color plastic under the air bag. Is it any way to fix this?? I looked and it looks like that is part of the whole dash. The top of the dash and the middle is all one piece damn what a shame, There is no way to replace any of the dash parts?? Please help guys!

You should be able to replace, it looks like it is all one piece but there are many.

Take a heat gun and very carefully heat up the area of the scratch, don't keep the gun in one place. Being very careful is the key.

mine is all scared up... thanks to my 10 year old nephew... but I don't sit on that side of the truck, so I don't notice it much

I'll probably end up replacing it with one in better shape later down the road if one comes in the yard at work with a decent dash in it I'm already on the lookout for a model with the Sony sound system to rob the speakers from

It's a truck man... scratches show others we actually use it the way it should be used. With all jokes aside I wouldn't worry too much.

You could just get a dash mat to cover the dash. That will cover it and will prevent scratches in the future. I had one on my 92 chevy and the dash looks new, not faded or cracked from the sun. I plan on getting one for my ford so the dash will still look new when I it rolls across the Barrett-Jackson classic car stage 50 years from now!! The dash mat never looks dusty so you never have to wipe the dash either. I would worry about using a heat gun. With my luck the end result will look worse than the scratch.

Thanks guys for the help.. You guys are great. This is the best forum for ford online. By the way I checked on the price of the dash and it was $1267.00 and I said no way I was going to pay that. I thought about putting some kind of nice emblem there to cover it so I did not see it. Anybody have any ideas?

I used a hair dryer on hot to take out a scratch on the front of my glove box. It really works well !
