Default RX catch can?

Guys please excuse my ignorance. I just want to be clear on what this fixes/corrects on my eco boost. My understanding is this will help with fuel in oil problem. If this is the case I am about pull the trigger on one.

Read these threads. There are guys who swear by them but then there are guys who are debating their need.

One of the vendors is guaranteeing they will fix the problem or they will buy it back. I was going to buy one after seeing all the goo coming out of the system but after reading all the info Im holding off. Lots of good discussion on the subject here.

I need to get one of these catch cans! As the Gunk thats Emptied out of some of these, look Nasty! Surely that mix of fuel, oil, and water isn't beneficial to the motor! Of course aim being Sarcastic, on the last sentence....

I'm one of the doubters that it will fix the CAC condensation issues.

But for gas in the oil I'm pretty sure it should do the trick unless you have a badly leaking injector.

The guarantee, and the testimony of those that have them in use, not much to risk by trying. I can guarantee it, but the supporting vendor is who you should contact (and does not hurt to PM some that have installed them for these issues to get first hand opinion.

I suppose it really depends on what you want/expect from it. From Ford, every DI engine will have some light fuel in the oil and the FI group will have more. Does the catch can get it all out? no. Does it get a lot out, yes. I drain mine every few days now and I always have oil and fuel in the can. If it is in the can then it is not in the intake. That i can attest.

What it does NOT do is prevent/stop the issue with fuel getting into the oil that causes the oil level to rise. This is fixed, supposidly, by the TSB 14-0440 (i think it was). When mine was dropping in fuel in the oil super fast the can could not fix it..... but it was pulling out a ton from being bypassed.

I'm very happy with mine and its performance, but I have no delusions about what it is capable of doing.
