Default running board options

So this winter I boneheaded my way over a snowbank and bent up the passenger running board on xtr SCrew.

I need to replace the one side for sure but now that I'm looking at it I'm wondering if I should just replace both sides with something better? I like the idea of aluminum for its durability against rust. Also one of my beefs with the factory setup is they collect a lot of snow and debris in the winter making them pretty slippery and my Fiance has slipped a couple times getting in and out of the truck. Do you guys have some good options that you've used?

Yea that would be nice but we have some extreme winters here in central Canada and I don't know if it would be all that durable. Plus I just need simple and works... good option though...

Would recommend looking for take-off / used Raptor running boards.
  • STURDY solid aluminum, slotted design
  • LineX-like, non-slip finish
  • uses same mounting hardware (brackets, bolts, clips, etc.) as F-150 step bars
  • looks COOL

With winter shoes ...

Just did a little google-fu and I couldn't find any amp power steps for under $1,150. Where are you finding the steps for $850? I would love to buy a pair if the price were near that. The local auto shop sells them installed for $1,580. A little steep, in my opinion.

I would like to know where you found amps for $850 as well. Cheapest I found was on the vendor page $949. You seem to find these great deals that no one else does.

Autoanything has sales all the time, paid 900 for amp steps when I bought mine. They function covered in ice or mud. Well worth the money.

yeah almost 1000$ for some steps that my giant self wont use doesnt sound worth it to me. If you dont want to spend much, they have different style running boards on ebay for like 150$ shipped! cat beat that for a quick replacement.. im planning on getting some just to make it easier for the lady to get into the truck
