Default Rock in front rotor

Anyone ever had a rock get stuck in there front rotors before. I just removed one from mine. Had to drive about 10 miles home before I could remove it. Was not sure what it was at first. Now I have a small grove etched in my rotor. Would that be covered under warranty. My truck is only a month old.

Ive had it happen before on another truck, I highly doubt ford would warranty that, its not a manufacturers defect or any fault of ford in any way.

I had one get in my right front. I just backed up a bit and it came out. I was not going to drive any until I got it out.

I got some gravel stuck in a front rotor in my old Grand Cherokee during an off road excursion. I had to remove the wheel to clean it out and it was always a little squeaky ever since then. I didn’t own it long enough to have to replace the pads or rotor.

Thanks for the replies. I had to take my wheel off and pry a little the back plate. The groove is small and probably would not be a big deal. All the years of driving and it had to happen to my new truck. Ah well I guess that is how it goes.

I had that happen a while back on mine. Before I heard the noise and was able to stop it was too late. I was close to needing brakes so I had new rotors and pads put on the front since that rotor was toast
