Default Roadmaster active suspension

Has anyone installed this yet?
How much improvement would you say it made in handling and carrying weight/towing?
For the ecoboost, their biggest claim is it eliminates axle wrap.
Seems like a decent product, but at $399.00, I would like to hear some of what you guy's thought.
As always, appreciate any input.
John.

I added this product on my ecoboost 2012 last year. I was not really satisfied with the result so I remove it and add a leaf for 89$. The new "add a leaf" did exactly what I was looking for, it remove axle warp, help to stay level when my fifthwheel is there and a much cleaner look.

So if you want my opinion, go with add a leaf instead of the RAS. Add a leaf is a much more time consuming to install, but you'll not be desapointed.

What was it that turned you off. Didn't help, like they say? Ride to rough after?
Just curious, as you seem to be the only one to have had t installed.
I'm mostly looking to reduce body roll. So it's something like the RAS or the Hellwig sway bar.

Installed it on my wifes screw stumpy bed to reduce sway while towing. it made a big difference, but did not affect ride quality. The thing that made a bigger difference in reducing sway while towing was putting a set of load range E tires on it to get rid of the sponginess.

THE RAS definitely curtailed the axle-hop issues also.

well wortht he price in my opinion.

I installed the RAS to help when towing a 27' offshore fishing boat - about 8,000lbs ready to fish (trailer, fuel, fishing gear)

Just completed a ~900 mile trip towing the boat and I am pleased. The rear didn't squat nearly as much as it would without RAS (or other suspension help), I didn't experience any sway, and no bounce either.

Due to hydraulic surge brakes, I can't use the typical Weight Distribution Hitch, so it was important the rear suspension could support the weight without bouncing. The RAS did just that.

The RAS didn't adversely affect the unloaded ride, but it DID raise the rear end about 3/4" higher than stock... I believe an add-a-leaf will do that also, but can't confirm it.

Default Great addition

I have had RAS on tow of my truck and swear by them I run an auto shop and it is what I tell my customer to install if they are carrying or hauling heavy loads.

The RAS helps with hauling, towing and handling
