Default Reverse lights...

I recently purchased a 2011 SuperCrew Lariat, and I am not impressed with the reverse lights. Is this typical? If so, what is everybody replacing the stock bulbs with?

The backup camera is about useless when I touch the breaks, due to the glare, but it looks fine at night otherwise. I really just can't hardly see anything in the mirrors when backing into my driveway at night.

Yup, join the club. LED light bulbs help but not by much. Most guys end up mounting aftermarket LED lights on the rear of their truck.

The 04-08's have a much bigger reverse light bulb. Accidentally bought some ultra mega bright ones, gave them to a cousin since they didn't fit mine.

So, pretty much stuck with installing extra aftermarket lights, or just dealing with it?

If you have a reciever hitch and 7 pin connector, you can buy a reciever mount light that white LEDs and uses the reverse lite wire from the trailer connector.

No work or wiring necessary. . Just unplug and remove when hooking up a trailer. I've seen some that throw a bright wide beam.

I'm tempted to pick up some of these 900 lumen bulbs just to see how well they work. I am hoping for a black friday sale so they are not $65.

Been meaning to try these, haven't yet. So far they've lived up to their claim of better LEDs than most with other bulbs I have purchased.

But, I also run extra reverse lamps under my bumper.
