Default reverse lights

Well we all know the reverse lights suck on our trucks I just installed a 5 way tailgate light bar on the truck yesterday and should be reciveing my 2 Cree flood lights today...

My question is... Should I leave the tailgate bar hooked up to reverse and run both flood lights off the bumper or disconnect the tailgate bar?

Why not devise the switching arrangement ( in-cab ) to allow either/or/both fer maximum flexibility? Cake.

That's not a bad idea... Run the floods to a rocker in the cab... But I'm not sure if I want to drill a hole in my dash... I may think about putting a rocker in the center console seeing as how I can fit a five course meal in that thing

Do you plan on running other lights?

If so I suggest this clean and suspect stock way of doing so, the raptor Upfitter Switches.

Here is a thread dedicated to using one of the useless Cubbies in the dash, and there are people that mounted them in the stock location on the center console too. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/comple...atinum-288102/

Thanks for the link! I didn't even know they had rocker switches that could go in those stupid cubbies

It takes some trimming to get them to fit, but they look stock once done right.

Could one of you point me to the thread where someone described and showed how they made a switch setup in the useless cubby forward of the shifter / cupholders? It was a home-made setup using round switches and some ABS plastic as I recall. Thanks!

Here's a place to look. I just ran through what I was subscribed to. I didn't look through this thread again before linking it for you...

Off road LED light switches - where did you mount?
