Default Replacement rotors

I have a 2013 F150 Lariat Ecoboost with 68000 miles. I do a LOT of highway driving, averaging 45-50K a year. Around two months ago, I needed to have my front rotors turned because the steering wheel would shimmy when braking. The shimmy just started again. I had the truck in the dealers this weekgetting wheel alignment and was told I needed new rotors because the stock rotors can only be turned once. Here's my question: are there any other rotors and / or rotor brake combinations out there that would replace stock and get me better braking performance without needing to replace rotors every 100K miles? Any thoughts?

Interesting read. Not sure if I believe it fully or not, but my 2013 5.0 with 74000km (I average 50-55k a year) had the warped rotor feel and I read somewhere to just work the breaks hard as it would clean up. That's what I did. Foot on the brake and gas at the same time, kept the engine at about 3000rpm at 60km/h and rode the break for 30 seconds or so. No more vibration in the steering wheel. Did that a month ago and haven't had problems since. Worth a try.

I personally wont have rotors turned for that very reason. Its worth a few bucks more to me to buy better rotors and pads. I find this place cheaper, with several different brands to choose from, including OEM on most parts. Good luck.

I just changed out my front rotors and pads to drilled and slotted power stops with extreme pads. My OEM fronts only lasted 50K before they turned to sh*t. I had the same set on my super duty and loved them.
