Default Automatic AC is not automatic

Looking for help with the Automatic AC on my 2014 Lariat. I'm not new to auto ac, my 2006 Lariat had a different build but still auto ac (wife's Toyota has it too). Been to the dealer twice and still no joy. It works fine on the heat side but not on the cold side. If the temp in the truck is set at 70 and you turn the temp down to 65 the fan slows down. It is intermittent, but it happens enough where I was able to demonstrate it to the ford dealer order writer and shop foreman. But, they said stuff like "they thought it was operating within design spec" and my favorite "it might be normal strategy"
Anyone else had a problem like this?

I'm not sure this will help you, but I have a 2013 Lariat and I always use auto air. All both temp settings, a/c and auto are turned on right?

My automatic ac is useles. I either put it on 60 degrees, or 90 degrees. The automatic fan annoys me like crazy cause it just blows full speed the entire time I'm in the truck

I hate the auto function, it always blows out the dash panels.

I prefer the window defrost (AC), or feet (for heating).

Panels are OK if I'm sweating like crazy and need cool down ASAP.

One time my auto AC did not come on properly it blew warmer air than it should have. I just restarted it and all was well.

Mine works great, but I hate the auto on the Toyota. It always wants to turn on MAX cool.

I know this won't help, but I also hate the Auto setting! I punched it off a few times when it turned on by itself!

Sounds like they need to track down some gremlins on your truck.

I set my 2013 to Auto the day I bought it and haven't taken it off of that in almost two years now. All I adjust is the temperature. Everything else stays on Auto. Works great. Not a complaint.

I agree that it is a gremlin, but the shop foreman(s) saying "they thought it was operating within design spec" and "it might be normal strategy" doesn't make me think they are looking very hard to find it. Been in the shop twice.
