Default Repeated ETB failures

About 30 months ago I bought a 2013 F150 EcoBoost 4x4 w/tow package. Very clean truck, 32k miles, thought it was gonna be great. Since then I have had the throttle body replaced 5 times in 50k miles. They last about 6 months or 10000 miles before failing. We bought the truck primarily to tow our camper and it does a great job when it's working. However, the failures have left me in a dangerous situation one too many times. Ford doesn't want to do anything about the problem, they paid for the first 3 but now say it is no longer warranted. I paid for #4 but #5 was covered under the service/parts warranty. What have others found to solve the problem as I know I'm not alone. Is changing the throttle body just something that's done with oil changes. I've consider buying an aftermarket throttle body and seeing if that solves to problem. Auto Zone sells 2 types for less $$$ than Ford and one has a lifetime warranty. Help. I'm desperate, frustrated, and can't afford to trade trucks. Some have said I should try a Lemon Law suit but I'm the second owner and don't believe I can.

Sounds like you answered your own question. Warranty is what matters.

Sounds like a diagnosis is needed as to what is causing the TB to fail, and fix that. Something else has to be causing the failure to go through them that fast.

It has a K & N air intake and filter. Think that is the problem. Several dealers have said it's better than original, others were uncertain.

How do you know when your TB dies? Does the truck throw a code? I'm with nerdh3rd, something is causing them to fail and it's most likely an electrical issue. I am surprised after the first two you didn't get a better diagnosis from Ford.

And make sure your MAF/MAP sensors get cleaned afterwards.

**** K&N. They make absurd claims when in reality you decrease the performance of your truck by installing one. If it was that easy to see gains, don't you think Ford or any other manufacturer would have similar set-ups?

The routine starts with the truck bogging down, wrench light comes on, and we limp to a stop. Turn the truck off for a few mins. then restart and it good to go, maybe 20 miles or just 1 before it repeats. After the second or third time the check engine light comes on. No sense taking it to Ford until the engine light stays on, no codes show up until a few failures.
