Default Removed rack causing traction control light

I have a 2011 f150 2wd ecoboost with custom steering to get rid of the stock rack. The truck has a traction control light on, and a friend that works at ford scanned it and said it was due to the rack being removed. Does anyone know how to trick the computer to think the rack is there so I can get ride of this dash light?

ask the same question over on the forscan thread, located here... https://www.f150forum.com/f38/forsca...ations-349018/

some others might be interested in your build, did you use the hydraulic rack from the 6.2 and an aftermarket PS pump?

pics would be great

I don’t have pics of the system, but it’s a pss tc pump with a gear box and swing steering and ram assist.. typical desert racing set up.. a picture of the truck if your interested

thanks for the pic
many have issues with the EPAS and would probably love an alternative.
ive been thinking about a 6.2 hydraulic rack conversion should something happen to my EPAS, but would be in the same situation with error codes if the EPAS rack is removed.
the forscan guys should be able to help

I can't answer your question (sorry), but I will say the factory EPAS would probably have a short unhappy life in a desert racing environment. Sometime when you have a few minutes, post some pics of the steering system please. I'd like to see it.

This system was built by kibbetech, I have built similar systems on mine and my friends race trucks to get rid of weak links. This truck isn’t a race vehicle, more of a weekend cruiser with some nice parts

That looks nice. How's the road feel/feedback and general handling?

steering works great. Only downside is the front kit has a little caster issue causing some wondering g at 80mph. But that has nothing to do with the steering set up
