Remote Start question
Hi all. I have a new 2012 f150 with the factory remote start system. As far as I can tell, the system seems to be functioning fine. The truck starts fine. However, when I insert my key into the ignition and then turn it, the a/c turns off momentarily and then kicks back on when the other electronic systems come on. Is there a reason for this or a way to stop the a/c from turning off? As far as I know I have to turn the key forward in order for the electronic systems to come on and for the truck to be put in gear. If you have any info on this I would appreciate it. I haven't seen anything in the manual about it except for the fact that you have to turn the key. Thanks!
When using the remote start, the A/C turns on to max with seats too. When you insert your key and turn, the A/C returns to where "you" left the A/C last minus the seats. Does the same thing during the winter with the heater but doesn't run on max heat. Wish it would.
Its all in the owners manual but doesn't specify the exact degrees.

When you put the key in the ignition, are you turning it all the way to the start position or just to the run position? I believe if you stop at the run position, there should be no pause in the functions (at least that's the way my wife's Fusion works with factory remote start).

Hmmm. I do believe that the a/c has stayed on after turning the key but it has been an exception. It's probably happened twice out of the 10 or so times I have remote started.
So for clarification, what is it that I should be trying? Turning the key to the "run" position, or all the way as if I was starting the car normally? And I should be doing this quickly?
I definitely know that if I turn it slowly and stop at the accessory position the ac stops and won't turn back on until I go to the next position.
