Remote Start & Climate Control - AUTO
Was curious if anyone else had this problem.. If you have remote start, and change the settings for Heater/AC to be set to AUTO -- when you get in the truck, does the climate control system turn off completely when you turn the key to 'ON'? I've found that the only way it keeps the climate control on is if I set the Heater/AC value to 'Last Setting' - then the climate control stays on when I turn the key on after remote starting.
AUTO is nice because it turns on the cooled seats automatically if it is warm enough outside (Right now, 90 with heat index of 98 in NY). "Last Setting" doesnt do anything with the seats (unless you had the seats on when you turned it off)

Mine returns to the auto setting when I start it. Let's say I have it on auto set at 71 degrees and shut the truck off. When I auto start the truck at 80 degrees outside, it turns the air and cooled seats on. When I get in and start the truck, it returns to auto and 71 degrees. Does the same in the winter except turns on the heated seats.
Maybe I misunderstood the OP. I thought he was just referring to the Heated/Cooled Seats turning off. This is expected once the key is turned.
The Climate Control temperature setting should remain as it was the last time you turned your truck on.

What I am saying is that on my truck, setting it to 'Auto' does in fact work. But when you get in the truck and turn the key to 'On', the entire climate system turns off as if you pressed the button on the temperature control dial. MFT displays a power symbol once you turn the key on. This doesnt happen to me when set to 'Last Settings'

Yeah.. The whole thing seems to have a mind of its own - and of course when you call Ford, they have no idea what you're talking about and tell you to bring it to the dealer..
