LIke I said earlier, it replaced the factory key fob. I looked at the Ford system and I would have to add another fob to my keychain.

Should of went with that myself. I got a prestige nice product but I paid $400 but it wasn't installed at a box type store. I want the iPhone start app but that's another 200 but it allows for unlimited range. I really only need it for 3 months out of the year.

I got the Ford model with the extra 2-way fob, good to 1000+ ft. It cost $220 total, I installed it in less than 10 minutes with no tools used and the only hard part is getting the dealer to activate it.

Note-the plug and play models are only good on 2011s
