I am guessing you never heard the King of Drone on a 6.2, I also know of a few with 5.0's that took it off because of drone.
I still say the reason you never heard a complaint is because your ears are still ringing when you get out of your truck

Its on a 5.0. Like i said never had a complaint and personally will take it over any exhaust i heard in person. Even police officer have complimented me on it. Exhaust is very selective. What one person hates another will love. As for me i will take my roush over anything I have heard.

i have the 3.5 but i love my MBPR 3" T409 single side cat-back system and i love it. 100x better than stock but by no means obnoxious. not exactly what you are up against but food for thought.

I know you said the CEL is on but just wanted to make sure are you actually getting codes for the cat? You didn't really specify. I hope your not just replacing cats hoping the CEL will go away and if you install an exhaust without cats you will need a custom tune to get the most benefits. If you haven't pulled codes yet, odds are its a misfire.

I recently installed a cat back exhaust.
Used the SPD 3 inch resonator delete pipe and a 3" Hooker AeroChamber muffler. Turn down behind the cab, in front of the rear axle.
Was very easy to install.

3 inch pipe all the way through.
Sounds awesome but not too loud.
And NO DRONE

If you have confirmed the catalytic converters have failed, we offer a few universal weld-on and direct bolt-on replacement cats for your truck that meet the emissions requirements for your area. We have included the correct part numbers compatible with your truck below.

We also offer a handful of complete cat-back systems and universal mufflers that can be used to upgrade the rest of the exhaust, all with a lifetime warranty of course. If you have any questions we can answer, please give us a call at 1-800-990-0905!

#52138 - OEM grade, direct fit, left side
#52139 - OEM grade, direct fit, right side
#51356 - OEM grade, universal, left or right
