you need to put some miles on that truck before you pull a TT if you don't already have enough.

Ford spent money to print the tow warning in the owners manual. Maybe there is something to it?

Default Preaching To The Choir

Thank you, Gents. A special thanks to NASSTY for that Article Link. That's the first hard info I've read on this situation.

As my User Name indicates, I'm into Specs and not second guessing Manufacturer Guidelines. Despite asking around some, I've yet to hear a hard, digital number of miles I should log before Towing. Being Retired, our schedule is flexible re: when we leave with a 5' x 9' Utility Trailer full of our Household Goods. I'm conservatively guessing a 3k lb. Trailer load behind me when we finally leave.

I've been driving like the Geezer I am, and am way into babying these early miles. ~300 miles so far. I kept my last Vehicle 14 years, clocking ~237k miles. That's just how we roll around here. The Ops Manual is in the Truck at the Dealer.

I'll also be asking my long-time Mechanic. That's just part of my Trip Planning, as is confirming Wiring and Trailer Brakes operation.

Opinions here on mileage to log before Towing?

If im not mistaken, the owners manual states that you shouldn't tow if you have less than 1000 miles on the new truck.

Default Hmmm...

I was sold my un-repaired Truck exactly 3 weeks after Ford posted this Steering-related Recall on their Website [24 June].

Guess I'm still happy with being off living my Life instead of being in Court with Ford. How you say, this is starting to sound like a real Fuster Cluck. As the old Political saying went: 'What did you know, and when did you know it, Senator'?
