Default Rear view camera Glitching

Ok so we have a 2010 F150 4x4 Lariat 5.4L with the 508A package (not sure if it makes a difference) super crew 5.5 bed with the shifter on floor and back up camera in the ford emblem.

The dealership already knows about this and are going to fix it however I want some of y'alls opinion on this.
When you put the truck into reverse it has the back up camera in the rear view mirror come on no problems sometimes but other times it will go whiteish gray colored and static sometimes unless you either tap the shifter (only sometimes helps) or put it in park then reverse again.

The dealership says it is the mirror itself but I am thinking it is in the shifter. The dealership only had the truck a couple days before they sold it so I don't think they were able to diagnose it well. Before I take the truck back to fix the seat I would like some opinions on what you think so I can tell the dealership.

Thanks,
Trav

Default back up camera issue

It seems like I am having a similar issue. I sometimes get a clunk from the transmission as it goes into reverse. I am curious to hear what they told you about your problem.

They never told us anything. Actually never even called us back in. I am pretty sure the dealership screwed us on this part.

More then likely I will either end up fixing it myself or setting it up on a bigger screen. Haven't decided yet.

Mine does this and it's after market. I'm sure it's a dirty connection as it was worse in the deep of winter. I pulled the fuse that's tied into the reverse circuit at the rear tail and added a bunch of dielectric grease helped a bit. Seems if you throw it into reverse fast it does it more often than sliding it into reverse slowly.

Could be a dirty connection however my truck has never been on the road with snow in its life. The PO was from phoenix az and where we park it when it snows.

It seems that it doesn't matter how fast we shift it it still does it. We shift it slow quite a bit as it is a little strange getting use to the floor shifter.

Oh ya, mine is a column shifter. I'd still say loose connection or ground somewhere on that circuit.
