Default Question about when purchasing tires Cooper Zeon or Nitto Terra’s?

Sorry if this may sound stupid, I am in the process in buying a set of tires for my 11 FX4. I am stuck between two choice, I am looking to get either the Cooper Zeon LTZ 305/55/20 or Nitto Terra Grapplers same size. My question is: Is there something I need to look for cause for example the Terra I sometime see LT 305/55/20 and other I don’t see the LT. Sorry again if it may sound stupid for some of you but I am new to this and I want to make the right order. Thanks in advance

Actually you can get the Terras in a 305/55R-20 XL 120S B or a LT305/55R20E2 121S B. The LT's are load range E and are a heavier tire. You would be able to haul a little more weight with the LT's but the extra weight may cost you another MPG. There won't be a huge difference in MPG's between the 2. They are both wide and heavy tires so you'll see a loss in MPG's either way if your going from stock to 33's.

I' m in the same situation, but leaning more toward the Nitto 's but I heard some places won' install the 305's on a stock truck or should I say would I need to do a front
End level kit, one more thing comparing the 2 tire choices what price range are you in and where are you pricing your tire purchase

Some places don't like installing the 305s on stock rims because the width is at the bottom of the width range for that tire size at 8.5".. me personally I went with the coopers 305/55 on my stock 20s and i love them!

Yah the LT and the XL Terra Grapplers look the same. The Coopers look good but I don't have any experience with them. Not sure if they are worth the extra $$ or not. I had 305/55/20 Terras on my 06 F150 and I liked them.

305/55/r20 Cooper Zeon LTZ

I found some online and had Discount Tire match the cheapest price I could locate, lifetime warranty and free rotations for life!

BTW I love these tires glad I went with them because I too was in the same boat in deciding between these and Terra Grapplers.

LT305x55x20 Nitto Terra's at stock height. Real close to the upper control arm but no rubbing. Over 14k miles on them and very little wear so far. The stock wheel's have over 6 inches of backspacing and a 11.5 or 12 inch wide tire would be a little better to give more clearance.
