Default Rear defrost button doesn't light up, rear defrost not working

But the mirrors still heat up?

2014 F150 FX4 screw

Replace rear window? Most threads point to bad connectors and replace window seems like it fixes it...

Just to clarify, if i push the button the mirrors do their thing and get warm, light does not come on, rear window does not get warm.

Hah no man ive owned this truck since factory that window worked for the last 5 years. Check join date lol

Will check fuses though. This trucks had its battery die a few times since it sits most of the week and i get lazy and dont put a trickle charger on it.

Another thing last battery drain it kept doing the easy entry exit thing with the seat even when i turned it off, finally disconnected batt and it went back to normal. Passenger mirror memory goes to up and right hard randomly as well... sometimes does this just from starting. The clicking of it makes me shudder, one day it will strip i swear

Meant no disrespect, could be bad contacts. I disconnected mine so that’s how I know why mine isn’t working.

As you guys mentioned, there has been a lot of discussion around here about rear windows shattering from the defrost. Many people have unplugged the window, which gives the exact situation you described (window, light don't work....mirrors do). So, probably a problem on the positive side of the wiring to the window, passenger side, which is mimicking having it unplugged. If it was the ground side of the window, the light should still work.

Read through this thread. Also do a search. There are several threads on this issue. It's a pain.

My 2011 did exactly the same as your truck, I didn't want any chance of a shattered rear window and I don't care much about the rear defroster but I do like the mirrors and light on the switch working so to fix this I disconnected the rear defroster (behind the rear passenger's side seat) and then put a small 5 watt bulb as jumper across the terminals of the defroster's wiring to close the circuit and now when I hit the switch the light comes on to let me know the mirrors are heated however the rear defroster is not functioning. Problem solved.
