Default Random Alarm going off

John..... Mine alarm does not include the remote start. Ford tried all the same things they did on your alarm on 2 trips to the dealer. It would go off several times back to back then not go off for a few days and the next day it could go off 12 times. It was crazy. But thankfully, I haven't had a single problem since they replaced the alarm.

Latest update from Ford service dept. Still no fault codes being recorded and nothing looks suspicious with the alarm/door pins/hood pin. Of coarse the alarm never went off when in their possession. They have ordered a new alarm control unit (or something like that) and it should be here in a couple of days. I'll pick up the truck today and take it back in when the part arrives.

Any sources of radio interference in / near your garage? Any chance someone else, i.e. kids, may have hit the little red button on the key fob?

Not aware of any radio interference. I've had the truck almost 4 years and this just started happening in the last month. Definitely not the kids doing this, they've in bed all but one time. We've considered some kind of interference this since the alarm seems to trigger later in the day (all times after 7pm), but not sure what it would be.

(radio guy here) Well the first thing I think of is getting a field strength meter / analyzer to see what waves are flying around where you are and if they change when the alarm goes off... but that could be costly for a good one so might as well wait and see what gives at the dealership first
