Random Alarm going off
I have a 2013 F150 Ecoboost Screw.... I bought brand new 5/2013 with factory alarm. Randomly since I bought it, the alarm will go off. It may not go off for 2-3 months, then it goes off 20 times in one freaking day. Insert some very frustrated words here......... Any ideas? As a single parent, I don't really have time to go to the dealer if its something simple that I can do. Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

Ford Customer Service
Thanks for following up, Aggie_90! I'd like to get your regional customer service manager involved so they can help. To make that happen, PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership info; I'll get this into their hands.

Why are your guys afraid to take it in for service work? Hell I wouldnt hesitate.
Are all your doors shut? I know this sounds weird but my alarm went off once day and it scared the hell out of me. Turned out to be my rear CC door wasnt shut all the way. Something jostled the truck enough to make it think someone was opening it.
If the doors are shut I would think its a loose or faulty door sensor.

If your Alarm System is the OEM FORD VSS (Vehicle Security System), it will have a Sensitivity Adjustment **** on the unit which is accessible through the access panel, driver's side, with the door opened, adjacent to the light switch. Pull the panel out by pulling it from the vent hole. It will pivot a bit. Then take a peek inside. You should see a box with the adjustment ****. It may be set at the most sensitive setting. Turn the **** the opposite direction and test. You dealer should have given you the manual for it also.
Hope this helps!
