Default Quiver from a stop

My 2013, 5.0L, 4x4, Screw, 6'6" bed truck has a quiver from a stop. It happens with very little power/slow start. It seems less when more power is given.

Since it mainly happens with little power, I highly doubt that it is axle wrap.

Any thoughts?

2 piece driveshaft, probably the culprit. my Toyota longbed had a shudder from day one the only fix was 1 piece driveshaft but mine being a lwb was not feasible. i have 2013 Screw 4x4 shortbed and just put on a rear swaybar, seems to be smoother taking off, course i din't have a shudder before. maybe just in my head, but feels that way to me. try greasing your slip joint, just make sure you mark before taking apart.

Was there a TSB on the greasing of the slip yokes?
I thought I have seen one but I thought it was for earlier years.
If so, what is the TSB number so I can have the dealer do it?

My 2010 screw 5.4 does the SAME thing! Only light throttle, like leaving a parking spot. I don't buy the 'axle wrap' logic either. It seems like something is not right. I would like to get to the bottom of it.

'09 here, does the same kinda thing. It's a shudder feeling at idle, then sometimes it'll shift up and surge forward on its own. Not a strong hard surge, but a surge none the less. All without my foot on the "go" pedal. Truck also slams into second too.......As much as I've read on these issues, it seems to be fairly common among the "newer" Fords.
I'm gonna have the transmission flushed in a couple weeks because it's due for it. Maybe it'll get better...??..

I think your issue is something different.
Mine idles and shifts perfectly.
It's just when light accelerating.

This sounds like a good puzzle for your dealership to solve, F-250,LD. I recommend making an appointment so they can take a look; let us know what you hear from them. If you need me to jump in and help, send me a PM with your specifics (full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, servicing dealership) and I'll research some options to help.

Does your 2013 have limited slip rear diff?

Ok, I've got the same on my 2013, FX4, 157" wheelbase, EcoBoost, 3.73 gears. Mine doesn't happen every time, but perhaps one out of 5 to 10 starts from a dead stop or traffic light.

Only does it with a light, feathery touch on the throttle when leaving the light or stop sign. If I go moderate to slightly aggressive off the line there is no click or jolt.

Mine doesn't make any sound, it's just something you feel. Mine feels like the movement you would get from a bad motor mount or trans mount. Or if a tooth was missing someplace in the gearing. Most of the time I don't think about it, but I'm wondering if I should have it looked at.

I know it's not the slip/yoke thunk, as I had that problem with my 2011, XLT, 145", SuperCab, 5.0L, 2wd truck and that sensation felt different and happened only when slowing to a stop.

Thanks, I do need to get it in to get checked.
It has done it since new and only has 3500 miles on it now.
