Default Question about OEM Navi!!!

Sorry if this is a repost but I did search if this was covered and could not find anything about it. I regret not having the Navi system in my 11 Fx4, can it be install by my dealer?

Thanks in advance

Sure it can, but it will cost you $$$ compared to ordering it from the factory. I would look for an aftermarket system before I paid for the factory one.

There are many out there that are pretty good.

I bought this and put it in my old truck and it works great

JVC KW-NT3HDT DVD/Navigation Receiver

I liked it so much, I took it out and will be installing it in my Corvette.

There is an OEM Factory nav system for sale in the classified. Not a bad price either. I would jump on it in a heart beat if I could afford it. It looks like it has everything you need to install in your FX4.

I like OEM accessories better than after market.

another guy was askin this a while back and no, the oem nav cannot be purchased aftermarket, unless perhaps its used. Check your local junkyards, or ebay for one.

It can be done but be ready to shell out close to 3k for it at the dealer.

Cheaper from the factory you get a 1k off discount.

My 2010 did not have one, my 2011 does and I would do it again, I like the factory look.

I would go aftermarket to save money, there are a few companies out there that make aftermarket systems that look like the stock stuff. I would just do an aftermarket, save money and have some nice features. They do look good if done with the right kit but not as integrated as stock. Also the stock is an 8" screen VS the largest aftermarket hu which is 7". I have a Kenwood DDX 616 6.1 screen and it is still a really good size for movies and reverse camera.

Check out this link. I was going to install it in my 2011 f250 until I found out what a pain it was going to be. You have to have the sony system to make it easier.
