Nissan has been putting this technology on all their cars for years. Why Ford doesn't do this for every car in their fleet from the factory baffles me.
Hof did we ever get by back when you had to actually insert a key into your door to lock/unlock it?

My Dad use to say the same about the TV. How did he ever get up from the chair to change the channel. LoL

Idk I drive new cars all the time (some jobs I do involve moving cars off ships) some push buttons work great some are frustrating as hell.

Just today I was driving new Mazdas and I found the push button system sometimes didn't work. I drove like 50.

Maybe I'm old man at 30 but key always works.

How do you drop it into neutral if you got no power?

I am personally not a fan of the push button start. They are typically a huge pita to mess with and still require the key to be in the ignition and turned on. Definately a cool feature though!

Why would you want to have to push a button when the key still has to be used? Stupid gimmick if ya ask me.

We are miles behind the curve in this country. Rented a car in England. No key gave me something that looked like a credit card. Had two dimples on the card. Hit one the doors unlocked. Hit the other one the boot opened. Got in the car, there was a slot for the card. Put the card in, the readout on the dash said. Push in the clutch before you hit the start button. Worked fine, when you arrived at your destination, push the stop button and pull the card out. This was in 2003.

Cause the key don't have to be used anymore, that's whole point, lol! You carry a fob that has to be close enough to transmit the signal then your press the button, no key required at all
