Has anyone done this and added a trans temp gauge for those of us who have the basic dash?

One of the earlier posters installed this, which will display trans temp from your OBDII connector:

Awesome, little pricey but a cool little gadget that tells you a lot. Looks like it fits in their nicely too.

To those without the full length center console, how did you run your wires going from the coin holder area to the passenger side fuse box? Did you run them over by the firewall and behind the radio bezel and down to the passenger side footwell?

I'm fairly confident that you can get all your gauges on an android headunit. I did it in my 2006 powerstroke to monitor with obd ii reader and torque pro app. I'm actually going to try this on my 2011 f150 and see what info I could get. I haven't seen anyone else do this on the f150s yet.

I used to run "torque" on a tablet in my '09.

Sadly when that tablet died.. the 'newer' tablet (Android version) doesn't support the version or Torque I have, and I am too lazy to upgrade Torque.. YUP I'm a nerd and liked all that info displayed.

I formerly had a vacuum gauge in the coin holder spot.. since then I added (electric) oil pressure since the inst panel gauge is like an idiot light (not a gauge at all)
