Anyone have a trick to open up the puddle lights? I was going to install my led lights but the puddle lights seem to be sealed..any ideas? Thanks.

I used a dremel type rotary tool, cut it open, changed the bulb to LED, and then Epoxied it back close, good as new, water tight and cant see anything

Not really dark enough to see how bright they shine, but I mounted 48" white LEDs to the under/back side of my running boards. Turn on with dome light

That's a bright idea I was thinking about installing the puddle lights in my mirrors, but I'm "borrowing" your idea.

No problem, was a fun mod to do. If you want I can take pics of how I did it tomorrow. I tied into grey/purple tail light wires. Good luck! Take pics after.

The mirrors work... but also move with door and shine off of your foot path when opened up.

Awesome idea! The light doesn't stay on with the taillights? (After the dome turns off)

If you decide you would rather have someone else do all the work and have a 2 minute install then PM kpope50. I bought my conversion kit from him and its amazing with the bulbs he uses, my build thread has quite a good amount of pics to help you see the difference and how to install them the right way.
