I think they are all to busy fixing deer damage to fool with a little project. Guess I will wait till summer and try again.
Did that $600 from the dealer include shipping? I've already received the drivers door PTM handle from Tasca for $132. It only comes with a keypad. The other 3 doors were $72 each and tailgate is $76. I'd check back with Tasca before the dealer maybe. Just a heads up.

I think these handles are a lil tough to paint. The strap for the handle seems like it would be in the way plus the textured black finish wouldn't hold paint well IMO.

they hold up fine if done right. and the texture has to be smoothened and it has to be prepped correctly for proper adhesion.

How the hell are you guys getting handles already painted? I've been painting in a Ford body shop for 4 of the 6 years, of this body style f150. I can comfortably say I've painted well over 150 of these trucks, and every ptm handle I've ever done comes in primer.

TascaParts has them painted directly from the factory.

They must. Because I know you can't get them painted straight from the factory. The older style f150 's you can. But not the 09+ ones. Unless I just haven't come across one yet. You'd think I would have by now, lol.
