Default Programmers

Hi
New to forum
Forgive me if this has been done to death
But just bought my second F150 (first was a 94 reg cab long box 5.0 that I loved wife hated)
It's a 2010 5.4 Fx2 super cab in mint shape.
I am looking to add a cold air intake and a programmer to maximize fuel economy and towing when I need it.
Just looking for success stories or failures on products before I drop my shekels.

Johnny

Cold air intake waste of time and cash. The stock air intakes flow great. With a programmer you may or may not see an improvement in fuel mileage. I have a custom rubber from 5 star tuning. I haven't seen a loss or gain in mpg but I will say it makes the truck very responsive.

Me too, i am in the same boat; i am thinking 5star tuning and S&B CAI.
Everybody here said great things about 5 start and Mike.

I'm using a Lund Tune for 93 octane on my 5.4 2010 FX4 and have been very happy. It's been on my truck since 2010.

I have an SCT X4 from 5Star Tuning.
Best $450 I've spent on the truck.
Economy, Towing, Performance tunes all work great!

The 5.4 comes asleep from factory - the tune will wake ur engine up in a big way- I really appreciate the way the truck shifts with the 5 star perf tune- good luck

A perk of the programmer is being able to see the REAL engine temperature and not fords idiotic dummy temp gauge..

So do these "tuners" simply plug into the obdII ports or where do you put them?

Just wanted to let anyone who's interested in purchasing a tuner, Stage3motorsport is having a sale! I just got the SCT x4 with 5 star tune for $384 shipped. That's $399 sale price with Save15 coupon code added ($15 discount)
I can't wait to get the tune on, I have the Roush CAI and I hope this tune will bring my truck to life.
Link to tuner.
