I'm looking to purchase the Hyper Tech programmer to get the most out of the motor. I've already installed the injen cold air intake and have noticed a nice difference in the acceleration when you get in the gas. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Default What motor

The choices depend on the motor.

There are MANY threads on this forum that will provide you with an inordinate number of options.

Also remember that most of them are up to preference.

I can provide a couple thoughts if it is an ecoboost:
-sct with 5star or custom tunes will be MUCH better than hypertech. (I have sct with 5star on mine, I have a hypertech for my modded g37xS so I am familiar with both)

-I did an AEM drop in dry filter replacement. Unless you actually REPLACE the turbos and injectors there is no need to replace the air box.

i would not get the hypertech.

get a sct device and get custom tunes,
Southern speed has the best tunes out by far. most power, best driveability
smoothest shifting. and safest tunes.

SCT and Edge are the two most popular tuners for the f series. We have a massive sticky on that around where somewhere on the forum

This^^^

Get the SCT a lot more options out there with it! SSI to be one and are top dawg on the Eco platform and Southern Speed Inc has awesome v8 tunes also!

Hypertech and Livernois use the mycal device and you are limited to those two companies(proprietary).

I've had the Hypertech in the past on several trucks, don't waste your money.

The SCT devices are much better, even the canned tunes. That said, a SSI custom tune leaves the canned tunes in the dust. Safer, better driving and shifting, and far greater power.

To Late, I purchased the Hyper Tech. I have the 2010 F150XLT with the 5.4L 330 c.i. The only mods I've done to it was installing the injen cold air intake. I'm not looking to break any land speed records just improve the performance. They have a money back guarantee if I'm not happy

You will get a few extra hp and torque with the Hypertech on the 5.4l. Noticeable gains, but don't expect anything earthshattering.
