I had a chance to test my Hellwig rear swaybar on a trip. It's on the softest setting. I towed a 3000# trailer. Rear end wiggle was 95% eliminated. Ride compliance was very good on smooth roads and slightly worse over uneven or broken pavement.

Installed the rear bar this afternoon. One test ride so far and body roll is greatly reduced. I have a SnugTop topper on my 4X4 and with the higher center of gravity, body roll was really bad before install the sway bar.

One question. The hard brake line that is held on to the axel housing by the clip. Is it ok just riding on the U bolt? The instructions say to use a zip tie to secure it to the U bolt. There is no way I could get one on.

Here is what mine looks like...

Seeing that you cant secure it, I would bend it up so it don't rub on the bolt.

I bent up the little tab that used to secure it and then zip-tied the brake line to the tab.

Do you mount the right side saddle to the inside of the small brake line bracket?

Anybody get the Roush Yates - Hellwig powder blue sway bar? I saw it in the current issue of Truck Trend Magazine

Just installed my rear Hellwig. I have it on the stiffest setting. Difference in ride is immediately noticeable.

Truck "points" and "holds" much better. I no longer have to fight my steering wheel and make corrections trying to counter the lateral side-to-side bounce.

For what it is, and what it does, and the result after installation, the Hellwig Rear Sway Bar is a really good buy.

It's definitely money well spent.... It's a huge improvement.
The added bonus, is how much better the front tires wear.
Even though, I rotate the Pirellis every 3,000 I would feel a little "scalloping" on them by then. I don't see that happening anymore.
I have it set on medium.

Can this be installed on a leveled or lifted truck?
