Default prodigy brake controller problems

I was going to get the factory brake controller but was told by ford its not available on my 09 fx4. its was a early model 09. So i got out my prodigy that i used in my old truck. I bought this truck used and it didnt come with relay and fuse so i got them and installed them. Heres the problem.
When i use the manual slide lever on the controller it applies the brakes fine. but when i push on brake lever i got nothing. I called 2 different dealers and got no help... anyone know what might the problem be?

Thanks Kevin

I personally don't have an answer for you but you should try contacting Tekonsha, rather than Ford. if anyone would be able to diagnose a faulty controller or a vehicle-specific quirk or something, it would be them.

It is just not set properly. I believe there are some setting for how much power is sent to the trailer depending on the size of it. It may be working but you are not feeling it. I don't have a prodigy so I'm not familliar with how to program it.
