Default Last day to factory order a '12

Just as a reminder, today is the order cut-off day, for ordering one of those 'old' 2012 models.

The order banks open for the new 13's next Tuesday. Then, maybe sometime in July, they will update the online build and price webpage.

I have a strong suspicion, that the '13 production will commence sooner than now indicated; and that product will be on dealer lots more quickly than some here have opined. Anyone here, who works at the Dearborn plant, please advise over the next few weeks.

I was at my local dealer yesterday and the F-150 stock is the lowest level I have ever observed on their lot; and unless they have a late shipment of 12's on the way, my guess is, they will be about out of product by the end of the July 4th super-sale weekend.

I am still debating over a black EB Lariat w/o the chrome pkg, or an FX4....will wait for the final 2013 online build spec's and photos.

The on line industry sources both indicate that 2013 order banks open on June 26th. With '12 order cut-off on June 22nd.

Cool. I just really wish I could build one on their website first. But i don't want to wait until then bc I need the truck as soon as possible. Recently bought a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V that I hate and trying to keep the miles off it until I can trade it in when this 2013 F150 comes in.

It probably won't make much of a difference, if any. You can most likely wait until you can build it online without much delay to your delivery as most likely they will start building them several weeks after even the updated online build and price is up. At least that's how it was for the 2012's. The order banks opened - then the build and price was up - then a week later I ordered mine (after much going forth & back, LOL) - then a few more weeks and they started building them.
So no rush to be there at the dealer on Tuesday morning, 8:00am . Much more important to get exactly what you want IMO.

I will be curious to see if the 2013's have any incentives on them. I'm sure it wont be as aggressive as the current 2012 incentives but hopefully there will be some.

As much as I would love to see some of those incentives on this new model, my guess is, there will be few, if any incentives, at the outset of introduction.

They will continue to have heavy incentives on the remaining 12's to clear them all, through the Labor Day sales event. So, if it is a great deal that you want, I would get a '12!! If new goodies are more important, then opt for the '13.

Once that backlog is adequately cleared out, then you will start to see a slow/gradual increasing line of incentives on the 13's, later in the model year. Another factor will be what the economy is like in the next 3 to 6 months?

I further surmise, that when the 13's [first] hit the showrooms, some dealers will try and sell at premium prices, to those who are not informed; pitching the fact that this is a refreshed model, with new grill, lights, and Nav etc.

I am planning on going in on Tuesday to place my order. Already know exactly what I want. If mid July they are going to update the website, any idea on how long till the brochure/order guide will be?

Do you guys always trade in your truck every couple years? If so, aren't you losing a lot of money and having endless payments?

Can't speak for the US but in Canada we have the employee pricing until sept. It applies to any new vehicle, 2012 or 2013.
