Default Problems W/Fuel Additives

Can any tell me how to add fuel system cleaner? I bought a bottle, poured it down the filler neck and it all leaked on the ground. Talking about pouring money down the drain. I guess I can use a funnel but what a PITA. Any solutions or is there something wrong with my truck?

Yes, and you most use the funnel provided with your truck by ford. Learned that the hard way trying to do the same with a relatives 2010 Mercury Milan.

on my SCrew it's under the rear seat on the driver's side...as stated in the manual (yeah i know who reads the manual). There is a tab inside on either side of the filler neck that must be depressed in order to "open it" so you can either use the supplied funnel that is wider than most so it presses on the tabs or use a normal funnel and use it to press on one side and then use a screwdriver or other skinny stick to press on the other tab.

You shouldn't need a fuel additive. All gas sold today has cleaners in it. Thats really the waste of money.
