Default Problems removing antenna

Just picked up my new '11 F150. First mod I wanted to change was the shorty antenna. However the original antenna keeps spinning and will not come off. Anyone else have this issue and how did you take it off? Any help is appreciated.

Should just screw right off. Have the dealer check it out.

It's not stripped, I'm having the same problem with my '11. No idea what to do now. -_-

Cravenspeed. I'd love to try it out, but the OEM antenna just spins around.

The just spins around problem sounds bad
THe only issue I had was that the ford antenna is painted so removing it marred the antennas paint. Just for you info, the shorty looks and works great in areas where signal is strong. It will cut your distance reception in half, which should not be surprising given that its barely a button.

Ugh. I'm beginning to think a gorilla at the factory over torqued it. Oh well, $20 tuition in the school of life.
