Default Preventative Maintenance

Just Completed:
-Transfer case fluid drain and fill
-Trans Pan drop, filter, bulkhead connector seal, and refill
Spent maybe $150. Saved about $5-600.

I dislike dealerships sometimes, and love the ability to do things myself.

Just did all of that but also included differentials, brake lines, and coolant. Second hand truck with no idea if or when any of that has been done. 200k seams like a good point to do it all.

I'm currently sitting on all the oil to do the diff's, transmission and transfer case.

I dont know if I'm gonna do the bulkhead connector, is there a point if it doesn't leak?

I'm at about 127k km right now.

I'm not a big believer in just flushing brake fluid and also isn't Ford onto DOT4 now? How much is that? I might run a bottle through the bleeders next pad change...

$20 reassurance
If it leaks you have to drop pan to change it.

I didn't do mine when I dropped the pan and change the fluid and filter, so hopefully i make it till the bedtime. I did mine at 42k or 46K and now am approaching 60K no leaks and they had my engine out at 52k to replace the SB. I had them to check the level while at the dealer the other day and all is good. I will do this next time if I make to my next interval. Is there a updated part, the reason for it potentially leaking or just a new replacement like the Coolant Y connectors that leak from flattened o rings?

Are you guys doing just a tran pan drop, filter replacement, tran fluid top off?

Or a full flush? I'm contemplating my options.

Yes. There’s an updated part. Original part has orange seals. New one has black ones.
