MrCdnVgas has a 2013 FX4 and I've got a 2013 King Ranch 4x4, so they're pretty similar.
I saw your posts about hooking into a trailer wire. I was actually concerned about splicing into a trailer wire for exactly the reason of what I'm experiencing now - the truck might think my trailer is hooked up. I thought if I spliced into what MrCdnVegas identified as a "parking light" wire that I wouldn't have that problem.
Oh well - I'm going to unhook that wire for now, so I won't have any marker/running lights for a while until I find another source for them. Maybe I'll try your trailer wire method!

i must be missing something here i am trying to locate the BCM. which if i understand correctly is around the passenger side fuse box. but when i open the kick plate all i see is the fuse box and three connectors that have 12 pins not the ten pin that is shown in the pictures i also can't seem to find that green plug in the background of his picture.

I don't know what year, model, or trim level you have, but I helped my nephew install the NorthLight Labs Door Detents in his 2011 XL, and it had different wiring (less) down there on the passenger side than my 2013 King Ranch with a higher trim level than his truck.
So...different trucks may have more or less wiring down there.

A couple of posts up I discussed my problem with the truck thinking my trailer is hooked up all the time.
I disconnected the wires I had to get the marker/running lights working, but that didn't correct the problem.
I then thought that maybe the way I took power off the mirror control switch was making the truck think the trailer was hooked up when it wasn't, so I swapped the power wires to pick up power off the rear window switch in the driver's door. With power off the mirror control switch I could telescope the mirrors in/out with the key off. When I swapped to the window power I needed to have the key "on" to operate the telescoping, but that isn't a problem. However.....that didn't correct the problem!!!!
So....does anybody have any ideas, or does anybody that has done the PowerScope Tow Mirror mod have a similar problem???
Tomorrow I'm going to hook up my trailer to see if all the trailer lights and brakes work okay, and if so I may just live with problem when the trailer is disconnected from the truck.
If anybody has any idea what actually makes the Truck App automatically bring up the Trailer page when you hook up a trailer, let me know what your thoughts are!! If I knew what makes the Trailer page pop up when you hook up your trailer, it might help me find a solution to my problem.
TIA!!

Never mind - got it fixed!!!
I'm still not sure why it was making my trailer pop up all the time. And it was adding accumulated miles to how far I towed the trailer even when the trailer wasn't hooked up.
I had unhooked most of the wiring to the mirrors, but the trailer still kept popping into the instrument display.
This morning I reconnected all the mirror connections and went driving around the neighborhood. I stopped a couple times trying to select the fuel economy page, but when restarting the truck the trailer page kept popping up.
One time I reached down and squeezed the levers on the ITBC (which is OE and factory installed) and a message came up "Trailer Disconnected". So, the truck knew that the trailer wasn't hooked up, but it was still adding accumulated miles to the display.
I like the mileage readout for doing wheel bearing, brakes, tire, etc. maintenance on the trailer. To avoid adding mileage to the display when I wasn't even towing the trailer, I thought I might add a trailer named "Tow Mirrors" to select when not towing any trailer.
When I went to the trailer options page I noticed that there was a selection for "No Active Trailer"!!! I hadn't ever noticed that before because since I had set up my car hauler trailer everything happened automatically when I connected/disconnected the trailer.
So....it turns out all I had to do was select "No Active Trailer" and all is well.
I did hook up my trailer and all the lights and brakes work great.
And everything on my Tow Mirrors works great as well - power adjust of mirrors, memory, heat, power fold, power telescoping, turn signals, and running lights.
I'm finally completely done with the installation!!

Just today I have started having the exact same issue. Last night I was towing a different trailer then my travel trailer so I selected default trailer in the towing app an then last night when I was done changed it back to my travel trailer and now today I went out and it automatically goes to the towing app. Looked at the 7 way trailer plug all is okay there. Tried turning off and restarting and same thing back to the towing app. Anyone has had and fixed this please chime in.

Yeah - that sounds like the same problem I was having!!
Go to the page where you can select or change a trailer, and you should see a line that says "No Active Trailer". Select that "No Active Trailer" option and it should stop automatically opening to the towing app.
At least that's what I did today. I haven't checked it out much except around my housing area, but it seems to have put it back to normal.
Good luck!!!
