Default Powered Sub Install ... Please Help!!!!!!

I have a 14 Stx CC and am just wanting to install a powered sub under the Pass Seat . It has been a long time since I have done any kind of amp or sub install . Like 20 years and a lot has changed since then .
I am looking at either the kicker powered sub or the sound ordnance .
Can some one please tell me how much is involved in installing this in my truck and what wires go where . Im sure I can figure it out with a little help and some guidance.
Most of our local stereo shops around have been known to do some wire chopping and I really don't want that .
Thanks

One of our local customers here locally just put this kicker hideaways in his ecoboost himself. I think he said 1.5 hours and he had to wire into the front kick panel.

I have one mounted behind the back seat, connected to the stock head unit using one pair of the RCA leads of a PAC AOEM-FRD24. It's great for me, but I don't need window-shattering bass. There's room back there for two (or more) of them, if that's what you're into.

There are several good threads on here with photos, step-by-steps, etc. Do a search on "Sound Ordnance powered subwoofer", you'll get a bunch of results.

I used the PAC unit also in my truck and it works well. There is a place to run wire into the cab on the passenger side - should be a small rubber nipple to cut and run down into the passenger footwell.

Overall a pretty easy install.

Will the PAC unit work with a 2014 4.2 Sync system?

I'm looking to do this too. I just want a little more bass and maybe some upgraded speakers off a 4 channel amp.

Just want it to be as good as it was .
