I saw a post on these but cant find it now.
can someone point me in the right direction.
good ones bad ones ,one specifically for a 2012 Platinum maybe

I'd get the one that Pace Edwards make if it were me. They're made specifically for each application.

The rest of your replies will tell you to buy an actuator and hack it up.

Your choice.

seems like a cool mod.. i saw someone post about a 2$ door lock actuator they bought and installed which seems like an amazing deal

Hack it up? The actuator costs $7 (shipped) and you attach it nearly the same way. I've done it on 3 current model F150's and never had one fail. Seems so silly to spend an extra $100 because you don't want to bend your own bracket but I totally understand some people don't own a vise or plyers or hands.

Agree. My actuator cost 1.73 shipped. Hahaha. Works like a champ!!!
