Default Power steering problem

Well I have a 2011 6cyl. Eco boost F150 with 40K miles.
For the past 15K miles I guess I started noticing that when turning the steering wheel a bit off center and releasing it - it does not want to return to center - well it has really gotten more pronounced to both sides it does not want to return to center almost like you have very very low tire pressure.
the fellow at the oil change place said its a closed system - no place to add fluid? It makes no noises.
Put new tires on thought that might help - still getting worse.
I have a feeling this could be very painful money wise
Any info would be helpful as to what to expect when I walk through those service dept doors.

Thanks
Amite

PS been driving pretty much all Fords sense 1970 and have never been left on the side of the road yet

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like the EPAS is failing. Electric Power Assist Steering. It is very expensive to fix.

Here's a video. I don't know if your system is making any noise since you didn't mention it.
