I put power running boards I. Automatic it keeps going back to off, what can cause it not to stay enabled this is on dash under settings then vehicle 2013f150 lariat

 

okay since I never received any responses so I decided to do my own troubleshooting, this was with my wiring harness that I soldered together.
1) Power running boards not showing in ForScan
MSCAN + wire was not getting connection performed continuity check and resolved those I used quick connects, in my case MSCAN wiring was on Drivers side
after that ran ForScan and PRB module showed up clicked PCM Relearn as module came from different vehicle
2) now under settings, vehicle, power running boards it retains settings when I choose automatic
3) opening door passenger was working in reverse so I switched the connections on the violet and brown wire resolved that
there was more done if any ever wants to avoid my mistakes
