Default Power Locks and Rear Window INOP

Tonight after parking my truck for the evening, I attempted to lock the truck for the evening. I did not hear the door locks function, but a second attempt at locking the truck did sound off the horn.

A closer look reveals i have no lock/unlock function on either the driver or passenger side controls. In addition, the drivers side rear window is INOP as well.

The truck is a 2012 SCREW. This is the first time this has ever happened, and nothing seems out of the ordinary.

Any ideas?

I would look in to the fuses first. Then if a couple fuses have blown you have to find out why.

I would also look in the rubber wire door boot on both rear doors. The wires break and can mess with your window/lock/ground/door ajar, etc.

Pretty common

Does anyone know what color wires i should be focusing on in the front and rear doors to expedite the troubleshooting?

ok, so after i found out that i had a blown fuse. that said, i double checked all the wires in each door. no apparent breaks or exposed wires. the windows/doors worked for a day, and then i popped another fuse.

before i take it in for diagnosis, i've noticed that i have a wire that is handing a little low on the passenger side in front of the rear wheel. I crawled under the truck. it is coming from a factory hole in the rear of the cab, follows the frame and then runs up through the wiring loom in the tail gate. i'm wondering, has someone added a power lock to the tail gate, or is this OEM that is just hanging?

help needed before i pay someone to diagnose. thanks.

Do you have the backup camera? If so it might be wiring for that

i do, but isn't the backup camera a standard option that came with the nav/sync/sony sound system (luxury package)? this looks to be an aftermarket add on.

i've noticed that before when i hit my locks or unlocked, i could hear the tailgate lock actuating;however, it never engaged? In short, i could lock the truck, hear the tail gate try to lock, but still be able to open it.

was the power lock an available add-on?

i suspect this is what was added, since the wire sheathing looks identical to this, and it's ran the same way:

I don't think powerlock was a factory option, possibly a dealer installed option.

I had one on my ranger but it stopped working.
