Default Power Issue??

I just got done with a trip to the mountains for the first time with my truck. I started getting ticked b/c I thought that the truck was lagging going up the mountains. I thought I would have more power out of the 5.4L motor than I did. Do I need to get this checked out or suck it up and drive on?

higher elevation = less air = less fuel = less power

should upgrade to an ecoboost if you do a lot of mountain traveling

I just moved to Denver a week ago today. My dad came out here with me so we HAD to do tons of mountain driving. There is a definite lose in power the higher you go. This is very normal. I went to the drag strip with a friend of mine last Saturday and talked to several drivers that travel with there cars. They say they can lose 1-2 seconds off their time at this altitude. So don't worry about your lose of power.
